Sometimes starting a “new year” can put a tremendous amount
of pressure on us. Maybe it’s getting on a diet or finishing something by a
certain date. We are trying not to stress a lot this year so we have come up
with some thing's that will help improve our day to day lives and in the long
run our whole year.
Planning is key for a successful year. A planner is a
must for our year. Without it things seem to get jumbled together. Keeping a
weekly/monthly planner will assist with your organization. Also try to plan
these things ahead; work outs, meals, outfits, etc. **Note: Having a cute
planner really gives a sense of motivation to keep updating and adding more to
your personalized planner.
CleanWe know most of you clean on a daily basis. But once a month, for us it's time to do a "deep clean”. Like taking out clothes that we don’t use anymore, throwing away any unneeded receipts, maybe old magazines, newspaper, or even old cosmetics that are way passed their expiration. Having a clean house, office, and desk won’t just look nice but will also help you function better.
Read
This is a hard one for us, we love to read but some days
there is just not enough time. While growing up our mom always gave us a
devotional that has short 10 to 20 minute reads. So we try to keep one next to
our beds, that way when we wake up or for go to sleep we can read it. Reading
helps improve memory, knowledge etc. That being said, reading stimulates the neurons and keeps the
brain active.
Stay
lean
For
many girls this is the number one goal beginning a year! Although this goal may
seem at times "impossible", it's very important to start off with
positive thinking and, as we said above, careful planning. Start off simple,
for example, if eating clean is a bit difficult for you then try adding more
fresh veggies, fruits and healthy carbs to each meal or if working out has
never been a part of your daily routine then try making it, even if it's just
doing 50 sit ups and 20 push ups every morning. Then as the days pass add on
more.
