Sushi Balls

We apologize in the delay of putting up a post, we have been super busy. Today we bring you an easy and yummy recipe. We "looovvve" Asian food! So we came up with these cute little sushi balls. Great for a picnic in the spring.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups cooked sushi rice or sticky brown rice
cooked chicken
or
smoked salmon
1/2 small avocado
lemon juice
salt to taste
sesame seeds for garnish
soy sauce

You will need to take about 1/4 cup of your cooked rice and put in the center of your plastic wrap, then smooch it into your palm to form the bottom of your sushi ball.

After place your cooked chicken or smoked salmon in the center.

Add the avocado and a little more meat.
Again take another 1/4 cup or so (you might need a little more for the top) of rice and place it on top of the meat, avocado center. Wrap both hands around the rice to form a ball and roll around in the plastic wrap.
Next pour some sesame seed into a bowl. Roll your ball in the seeds. You can also roll them in crushed nori (seaweed).

There you have these super cute and very tasty sushi balls. These are great for picky eaters that don't really like the taste of nori(seaweed). Or if you are a vegetarian leave out the meat and add in some of your favorite veggies like cucumber, or even cream cheese. Serve with soy sauce for dipping. Enjoy!
Love,
Erica and Emely
